I'm sure they're just upset that the money wouldn't be going to war to kill people - they'd rather see people die because they can't afford health care and yet they think they can say health care reform will cause genocide.     Do you recognize the picture? It is famous from history! If they still include that horrible time in the history books, I know there are a number of factions that like to pretend it never happened, but it did! The survivor's from those horrors are of an age where they are all passing on, but we need to remember that atrocitiy so we don't repeat it! Our government, not just the Obama administration but in general has slowly been removing our rights, our freedom of choice a little at a time! BE AWARE PEOPLE!

    There's nothing the matter with a little socialism. If you don't like it, quit using the public highways, get everyone in your family to send back their social security checks and tear up their medicare cards. Then stop using the library (if you read), and don't bother calling the fire department, police or ambulance when you have a little problem. And let's repeal the tax exemption churches get; there's no sense in the rest of us paying to support them. That's real socialism.

    From one sign, nameless people in DC are hate mongers? On the other hand, the crowd now in the White House extol the virtues of Che, Mao, Castro, and now Chavez, etc, ad nauseum. How can we accept the admiring of people who have enslaved and/or slaughtered tens of millions of people. Like these extremist socialists/dictators/marxists, Obama's "transformative change" means a massive power grab and extreme measures in order to purposely destroy the greatest country on earth. If these radicals are successful, our children and grandchildren wil never get out of the massive debt which is now being created by these maniacs.

    Re a little bit of Socialism, it's like letting the camels nose in the tent, and like having a little bit of excrement in your brownie. We are a Constitutional Republic which has wondered off track due to bad leadership. The Republic needs to be restored, not to be replaced by some radical "ism."

    I judge by what I actually see and read, not by emotion. Thankfully there are many God fearing citizens, and some leaders like Boehner and Bachmann, who will not let this plan succeed. I will never again vote for any candidate who will not pledge to support AND defend the Constitution, and who will FAITHFULLY represent the taxpayers for whom they work - we pay their salary. They've not been faithful, and deserve to FIRED!

    Wise up, think for yourself, and put down the Kool-aid.

    What planet are you on? Surely not on earth because Obama has not done any power-grabbing. If anything he needs to stop bending over backwards to try to 'placate' the Republicans who have pledged to see Obama fail even if it means hurting our great country. Bush, on the other hand, broke about all the rights in our Bill of Rights. You claim to judge by what you see and read. What are you watching/reading? Because you are clearly not seeing the same things I am.

    I am a God-fearing Christian and the Republicans power-grabbing, hate-mongering right now is scaring me as bad as I've ever been scared. I have to remind myself constantly that God is greater and he will bring the pendulum back.

    It sickens me that the greedy rich are claiming to be Christian and Righteous. Last I heard greed was a sin like any other. They are claiming to be patriots at the same time as they are shipping all our jobs off-shore... By the way - your Republican friends are shipping many of those jobs to Communist China. That doesn't seem to be the direction you think we ought to be going.

    I don't need to read this anywhere as I see it at work every day. More than one of my co-workers have moved to China to keep their job!

    Dear Carolyn, IF they are successful in forcing all to be insured, private insurers will not be able to afford to insure, and the government will be the only game in town. There's most likely the largest one of their power grabs. They've proven that they screw up any program they control. You need not believe it, but you will be forced to live it. Daniel Hannon, member of the European Parliament, can't understand why we would want such a horrendous system as government run health care since it has been a disaster for England, and anywhere else it's been tried.

    It puzzles me that you focus on "hate mongering" but attribute it to Republicans? Republicans aren't "shipping jobs to Communist China." I'm not about to blame companies for relocating their business in order to avoid the heavy and abusive hand of excessive government. British settlers came to America, and eventually declared independence for this very reason. I was laid off for 16 months from 1991-3 due to a decline in the Aerospace business. I don't blame any person, company, or party. My source is not men, but God.

    Your speech and attitude is more like the extreme liberal with the standard (factless) talking points, and not like any Born Again Christian I know. IF you were a Christian, you wouldn't have such (baseless) hatred for Republicans, and you have discernment about truth. And to say that Obama has been placating any Republicans, now in a clear minority, is also puzzling. The Republicans are now decidedly in the minority - they can't power grab anything.

    If Obama fails,
    1) it will be his fault,
    2) we will be better off, not worse,
    3) it will mean a victory for the Constitution and the american people.

    Lastly, let me confess my hatred. I hate
    1) progressivism, socialism, and marxism,
    2) lies and deception,
    3) pride, arrogance, and narcissism.

    But then that's scriptural! Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil, pride, and arrogancy. Also, Amos 5:15, Psalms 97:10, etc. I hate being told that there would be NO earmarks in the Stimulus Bill, and we got HUNDREDS!

    The sign with the pile of bodies, created by some individual not the GOP, alludes to all of those who will be refused treatment by the "death panel," and not any other twisted interpretation. The death panel was created in the Stimulus Bill by Tom Daschle, and it's already manned with people like Rohm Emmanuel's brother Ezekiel, who states, "Even if 25-year-olds receive priority over 65-year-olds, everyone who is 65 years now was previously 25 years!"

    Wise up, think for yourself, and put down the Kool-aid.

My suggestion; if you don't like government subsidized health care "Just Say No" to Medicare either now or when you turn 60-whatever...that way, you won't be a hypocrite.

    Democrats in either House who do not support Pres. Omama's programs should be invited to join the GOP because they are not going to get any support from those who have been sending in their contributions even in this econimic time. If these reps. are more interested in their own political future chances than the good of the country as real Democrats see it, the party will suffer from future lack of support. Get them in line or out we will not contribute to any fund which might help them.

    The Republicans, with all their hatred rhetorics, self-righteousness, think that they are the only people who deserve the right to live in this country. They have become paranoid since Obama’s election, and will stop at nothing to make fool of themselves, even if it means hauling signs that show large pile of naked dead, bad taste. This was a tragedy and should not be taken lightly. The Republicans should be ashamed of themselves and I hope many people are taking notes of this.

    I am increasingly dismayed, and embarrassed by the Republican behavior, be it right wing or not, during the Presidential campaign and continuing after President Obama was elected. I feel that the hatred, lies and just plain ignorance espoused by the Republican right wingers, only has weakend the Republican party's credibility. I, an Independent, have now firmly become a democrat. After watching the ridiculous ways the republicans have attacked this administration and continue to do so, after all the spreading of vicious lies, I am convinced the Party of No will suffer greatly in the next elections, and I for one, will never associate myself with the Republicans again. They should be standing behind our Commander in Chief, instead they are doing everything in their power to see that he fails. They have called Obama everything from racist, to terrorist, to being anti-american, when in fact, to me, it's the Republicans who are showing their anti american, racist true selves. Shame on the Republican Party. No wonder they are called the Party of No.

    I don't know how so many commenting can paint me as a hate mongering Republican because I state facts and express common sense conservative ideas. This is typical of entranced liberals who refuse to put down the Kool-Aid. Argue the issues instead of using Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" approach.

    I do hope that many would get in touch with the facts. The White House is filled with progressive/socialist/marxist radicals bent on destroying our country - we now know that "this" was the promised change, and I hope that Obama's agenda fails! If I love this country, how could I feel any different about those who are attempting it's destruction - not "transformation." The goal of all of these radicals is documented on video and audio - it's not spin. or made up. If "you" love this country, and you realize what they're doing, you'll be mad as hell! And the attacks by the administration (a la Rules for Radicals) on anyone who disagrees with their lies and agenda, is an attack (from government) on free speech; speech which is guaranteed in the very first Article of our Constitution.

    While the GOP isn't perfect, especially since being co-opted by moderates, they have never brought any of these kind of radicals into the White House, let alone an entire administration of them. We must be aware of what our leaders are doing, and must cast aside blind trust. "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance."

    Change for the better is good, but radical change is not, and change at all cost is not. Remember Patrick Henry's warning, "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God." Many of the colonials were loyalists to England, even while their brethren were being killed by British soldiers. When the government becomes tyrannical, it's time to put a stop to it. And if this power grabbing Gov't Health Care takeover is successful, we'll be enslaved to the gov't forever.

    Thanks for qualifying your remarks as being your view. Let me clarify mine.

    I love my country, and I want it to (continue to) be successful. So many have come here from other countries because it has been the greatest country on earth. But there is no guarantee that it will continue. At the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Benjamin Franklin was asked, “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?” He replied, “A Republic, if you can keep it.” Franklin understood that a republic would have enemies, and that freedom and capitalism would be at risk. Many years ago, a patriot said, "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance."

    We're now at a time when Obama, and his radical administration, are attempting to "fundamentally transform" this government from a republic to God knows what. The entire administration, shown by their own statements in video and audio, are progressive/socialist/marxist radicals, bent on demonizing and destroying capitalism, and taking away freedom. Do I hope that this plan will fail? Absolutely, for the sake of this country, and so that we and future generations will continue to have the freedom and opportunities which all americans have enjoyed for the past 233 years.

    We were promised no earmarks in the Stimulus Bill, and we got hundreds! We were promised fixed health care, and we're about to get a government takeover where all americans will be "forced" to have insurance "controlled" by the government (after all private insurers die off). We were promised ethical government without lobbyists, and we saw one after another with tax-cheating problems, and we got lobbyists. We were promised reduced costs in government, and we got a tremendous increase, which has only just begun. The deficit under Bush went beyond 400 billion, while the deficit in the very first year of Obama is over 4 times as much - IN ONE YEAR! The "unfunded liability" for years to come is now over 100 trillion! Continuing on this course, our country will collapse, and/or our children and grandchildren will be indebted and enslaved to the government forever, and their freedom will all but disappear.

    Is this the kind of future you desire ... for yourself ... for your children or grandchildren? I doubt it ... unless ... you've OD'd on the Kool-Aid.
